About Netherhayes
The
original building was the local doctor’s surgery for many years before
becoming a hotel and then a care home in 1984. The three-story period
property built of stone with rendered elevations has been extensively
modernised. The accommodation consists of one double and twelve single
rooms all fitted with vanity units and a further two with en suite WC’s
in the original house. All the rooms have been redecorated and
re-furbished, TV points, vanity units installed and a nurse call point
serves each room.
The new wing, completed in November 1996
has twelve single ground floor bedrooms with en suites facilities, TV
points and nurse call points. All rooms either face the golf course or
the enclosed garden. The new wing also has a large dining room/sitting
room, a new laundry, one assisted bathroom (with Arjo Spa Bath) and one
assisted shower room, both with assisted WC’s.
All amenities are close to hand, the
opticians is next door, the dentist is directly over the road, the town
hall and museum is 50 metres away, the library is around the corner and
is opposite the post office. Churches and places of worship are close
and there are many other shops and local hostelries within a few paces
of the home.
