Netherhayes

Netherhayes is Seaton’s premiere Care Home and has been successfully caring for the elderly since it was purchased by the present partnership in 1993. It is the Care Management team’s focus on achieving the highest standards possible that have built Netherhayes' reputation as a forerunner in the provision of care for the elderly in East Devon.

Seaton is a small coastal town in the Axe Valley off the main A3052 road eight miles from Lyme Regis and fifteen miles from Exeter.  Seaton is currently enjoying a revival since the completion of the town enhancement scheme and nearly all the properties in Fore Street have been refurbishment. Netherhayes benefited from a local council conservation grant and was able to re-install the iron railings and stonework to the frontage which were originally cut down for war effort.

Netherhayes Care Home is registered and accredited by the Devon County Council under the residential homes act of 1984 for twenty eight residents. The home is situated in the centre of Seaton Town, with views from the lovely garden over the Axe Valley to the gold course and the cliffs beyond. Fore Street is the main shopping area of Seaton and was pedestrianised in the late 1990’s ensuring far greater safety and easier access for our residents to all the amenities, including the sea front, which is a short walk away. The sea is clearly visible from various rooms on the upper floors and can be seen while standing at the front door.

“We are totally committed to the comfort and quality of care for each resident and the individual is of prime importance at Netherhayes Care Home ". Our Home prides itself on offering highly professional care with a personal touch. With 27 bedrooms, many with en-suite facilities, Our Care Home offers a safe, relaxed and homely environment. Residents are made to feel as comfortable and secure as they would in their own homes, at the same time recognising their needs. While all aids are available and staff are on hand to assist where needed, the independence of the individual is encouraged and supported so that they may enjoy their daily life in secure and friendly surroundings.
